Course overview: Attorney Sande S. Shamash will discuss how to use federal legislation and case law to obtain appropriate special education services for students. He will tell attorneys how to prepare children and their parents for conferences with teachers and school administrators so that suitable education plans can be agreed upon. The course will look both at the legal technicalities and at the practicalities of dealing with the education bureaucracy.
